Signtronix – A Good Leader Is A Constant Teacher

A good leader has to be a constant teacher.  If you fail to teach what you have learned, your group will always remain in the dark.  The regions that are at the top are there because their knowledge and skill bases rise faster than those of competing regions.

Part of a Manager’s leadership role is setting goals and creating a mission.  To accomplish the mission, the Manager must build the team as a cohesive group and motivate every Dealer and District Manager within the group to do their best.  If your goal is to become a top region, make sure your entire team buys into this concept.


Be accessible to your people.  Find extra time for those who have difficult problem or need additional help.


Never lose your temper.  Take special care to uphold the dignity of an individual, especially in the presence of others


Give recognition.  Praise in public and reprimand in private.  Use a lot of recognition to develop personal bonds with your people.  Make your people feel like heroes.


Have courage.  It takes a lot of courage to demand high standards of performance.  We must prove those standards and it takes courage to “Walk Your Talk”.  A courageous person doesn’t lie.


Have willpower.  Try, Try, Try again!


The task of good leadership is reserved for few.  Our challenge it to become a good leader!
