It’s easy to see that Marjorie C. Woods loves life, enjoys family and seeks adventure. She was raised in Cade, Louisiana, (150 miles Southwest of New Orleans) and spent most of her formative years there. After graduating college with a degree in Human Services in the early seventies, this southern girl made her way to Chicago. Marjorie worked for The American Medical Association as an assistant to the Copy Editor, for the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA).

In the early eighties, she moved to Pittsburgh and worked for the University of Pittsburgh. Her first position was working in the Department of Surgery for Dr. Thomas E. Starzl, M.D., world renowned Liver Transplantation Pioneer, as the Donor Registry Administrator. With a promotion, Marjorie transferred to The Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology as an Administrator for the Gastroenterology Physicians’ offices maintaining grants and research documentation for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Then she shuffled off to Buffalo in the early nineties, and worked for Radiology Associates of Buffalo as an Administrator at the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.

In 2001, in the state of New York, Marjorie married Mark E. Woods Sr. They live in Western New York within walking distance of the Buffalo Bills Stadium in Orchard Park, NY! “GO BILLS!” They have five children, all of whom are adults. The only kids at home are their two Shih Tzu’s Cynnimon and Rayzin. “These dogs are so adorable!” she said.
